1. Seller / Business Details

The following basic information is required:

• Email ID
• Phone Number
• GST Certificate
• PAN Card – PAN should be mentioned in the GST certificate.
• Trademark Certificate – Required for Brand Registry / brand approval.
• Brand Logo

2. Brand Approval Requirement

For brand approval, we require a real/original product photograph captured using a mobile phone.

The product should be clearly visible, and the brand name and other important product details should be readable.

How to capture the image:

• Keep the product in your hand and take a clear photograph, OR
• Keep the product on a table and take a clear photograph.
• The image should be an actual photograph of the physical product.
• Avoid using only edited/mockup images for this purpose.

This photograph may be required by Blinkit to verify that the brand/product physically exists and that the submitted brand details match the actual product packaging.

3. FSSAI Certificate – For Food Products

If you want to sell food products, an FSSAI certificate is required.

There are different categories of FSSAI registration/licences, including:

• State FSSAI
• Central FSSAI

Our Recommendation

If you currently have a State FSSAI, we recommend checking whether you are eligible to obtain/convert to a Central FSSAI licence, especially if you plan to expand your business across multiple locations.

If you already have a valid Central FSSAI licence, that is preferable for broader operations.

*The appropriate FSSAI category should ultimately be determined based on your business type, turnover, operations and applicable FSSAI rules.

4. Product Information Required

For each product, the following information will be required:

Basic Product Details

• Brand Name
• SKU
• Product Name / Product Details
• Product USP
• Ingredient List – applicable for relevant products
• Product Weight
• Product Dimensions

Packaging Details

• Packaging Weight
• Packaging Dimensions

Manufacturer Information

• Manufacturer Name
• Manufacturer Phone Number
• Manufacturer Email ID
• Complete Manufacturer Address

Providing accurate information is important because these details may be required during product listing, catalogue creation and approval.

5. Blinkit Listing Fee

Blinkit charges a listing fee of:

₹25,000 + 18% GST per product listing

Therefore:

• Listing Fee: ₹25,000
• GST @ 18%: ₹4,500
• Total: ₹29,500 per product listing

When is the payment made?

Once the seller account is completely live and we start the listing process:

1. Product listing will be created.
2. The listing will be submitted to Blinkit for approval.
3. Blinkit will review the submitted listing.
4. After the review/approval stage, the Pay & Activate option becomes available.
5. The applicable listing fee is then paid to Blinkit.
6. After payment, the listing activation and subsequent cluster selection process can proceed.

6. Cluster / City Selection

After the listing is activated, the seller needs to select the cluster/city where they want to sell.

Blinkit may show a limited number of available cities/clusters, and the seller can select from the available options.

Important:

The seller may or may not get their hometown as a selling location.

The available city/cluster depends on Blinkit’s availability and approval for that seller/product.

For example:

• If the seller is based in Bangalore, there may be a higher possibility of getting Bangalore, subject to Blinkit’s availability and approval.
• If the seller is based in Goa, Blinkit may offer another available city/cluster such as Mumbai or Bangalore.

Therefore, the seller should select the city/cluster from the options actually available in the Blinkit seller account.

7. Warehouse Shipment / Initial Inventory

After selecting the applicable city/cluster, inventory needs to be sent to the designated Blinkit warehouse.

Blinkit will communicate the required quantity for the initial shipment.

For example:

• 10 units
• 20 units
• 40 units

The required quantity may vary depending on the product, warehouse and Blinkit’s requirements.

Shipment Process

1. Blinkit provides the required inventory quantity.
2. Seller prepares and packs the required products.
3. Products are shipped to the designated warehouse.
4. The seller can use an appropriate third-party courier/logistics partner for the shipment.
5. Once Blinkit receives the inventory, the products are distributed to the relevant dark stores.
6. After the required processing is completed, the product becomes active and available for sale.

8. Blinkit Advertising / PPC

Blinkit also provides advertising opportunities, but the advertising mechanism is somewhat different from Amazon or Flipkart PPC.

The seller can run advertising campaigns to improve product visibility and sales.

Important Benefit of the Listing Payment

The ₹25,000 listing fee (excluding GST) paid for activation is credited to the seller’s Blinkit advertising wallet, as per the applicable Blinkit process.

Therefore:

₹25,000 + 18% GST is paid for listing activation.

The ₹25,000 component is then available as advertising wallet balance for running Blinkit advertisements.

Example:

Listing payment:

• Listing amount = ₹25,000
• GST = ₹4,500
• Total payment = ₹29,500

The ₹25,000 listing component is credited to the advertising wallet, while the ₹4,500 is GST.

9. Advertising Wallet Recharge

Once the advertising wallet balance is exhausted, the seller needs to recharge the advertising wallet to continue running ads.

The recharge amount can vary depending on the seller’s advertising requirement.

Our Recommendation

We generally recommend keeping a minimum recharge budget of around: ₹5,000

The actual advertising budget can be increased depending on:

• Number of products
• Sales target
• Competition
• Product category
• City/cluster coverage
• Campaign performance

10. Agency / Account Management Fee

Our account management fee for Blinkit seller account management is:

First Month

₹5,000 + 18% GST

From Second Month Onwards

₹3,000 + 18% GST per month

This is our minimum account management fee.

The fee remains the same even if the seller has approximately 5–6 products or multiple products under the account, subject to the agreed scope of work.
